ORANGE-ICED ESPRESSO COFFEE CAKE

If you deeply love cakes, you should learn how to bake orange iced espresso coffee cake. This recipe is one of the best microwave recipes because of its perfect ingredients. Every piece of cake is tendered with delicious fillings and perfect aroma.

Preparation Method :

  • Line the base and side of a soufflé dish with clingfilm , allowing it to hang very slightly over the edge.
  • Sift the flour and coffee powder into a bowl and rub in the butter or margarine.
  • Add the sugar. Thoroughly beat together the eggs and milk, then mix evenly into the dry ingredients with a fork.
  • Spoon into the prepared dish and cover loosely with kitchen paper.
  • Cook on Full for 6 minutes until the cake is well risen.
  • Allow to stand for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack by holding the clingfilm.
  • When completely cold, peel away the clingfilm and store the cake in an airtight container.
  • About 2 hours before serving, Make a thick glace icing by mixing icing sugar with enough orange juice.
  • Spread over the top of the cake, then decorate with grated chocolate, chopped nuts.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 sachets instant espresso coffee powder
  • 150 grams butter or margarine
  • 125 grams dark soft brown sugar
  • 150 grams icing sugar
  • 250 grams self-raising flour
  • 2 eggs, at kitchen temperature
  • 5 tablespoons cold milk
