ESPRESSO COFFEE CAKE

Get a perfect microwave recipe with espresso coffee cake. You will never hesitate to ask for more bites and servings once you taste it. The secret of preparing this special cake is through understanding its every ingredient and other added flavorings.

Preparation Method :

  • Line the base and side of a soufflé dish with clingfilm , allowing it to hang very slightly over the edge.
  • Sift the flour and coffee powder into a bowl and rub in the butter or margarine.
  • Add the sugar. Thoroughly beat together the eggs and milk, then mix evenly into the dry ingredients with a fork.
  • Spoon into the prepared dish and cover loosely with kitchen paper.
  • Cook on Full for 6 minutes until the cake is well risen.
  • Allow to stand for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack by holding the clingfilm.
  • When completely cold, peel away the clingfilm and store the cake in an airtight container.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tablespoon instant espresso coffee powder
  • 150 grams butter or margarine
  • 125 grams dark soft brown sugar
  • 250 grams self-raising flour
  • 2 eggs, at kitchen temperature
  • 5 tablespoons cold milk
