DATE AND WALNUT CAKE

The date and walnut cake can completely change your daily appetite. If you want to prepare this, simply set up its complete ingredients like mixed spice, sugar, self-raising flour and other added flavorings. After preparing, you and your family will surely enjoy its every bite.

Preparation Method :

  • Closely line an souffle dish with plastic wrap, allowing it to hang very slightly over the edge.
  • Sift the flour and spice into a bowl and rub in the butter or margarine. Add the sugar with chopped dates and walnuts.
  • Beat together the eggs and milk and pour into the dry ingredients, stirring to a smooth soft consistency with a fork.
  • Spoon into the prepared dish and cover loosely with kitchen paper. Cook on Full for 6 minutes or until the cake is well risen.
  • Remove from the microwave and allow to stand for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack by holding the clingfilm.
  • When completely cold, peel away the clingfilm and dust the top with sifted icing sugar.

INGREDIENTS

  • 125 grams light soft brown sugar
  • 150 grams chopped dates and walnuts
  • 225 grams self-raising flour
  • 75 ml cold milk
  • 75 ml icing sugar
  • 2 teaspoons mixed spice
  • 150 grams butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs
