DANISH APPLE CAKE

Preparation Method :

  • Put the apple slices in a 7 cups dish with the boiling water. Cover with a plate and cook on Full for 8 minutes or very soft. Beat to a pulp, then stir in the caster sugar. Set aside.
  • Melt the butter in a skillet. Add the bread-crumbs and sauté conventionally until lightly browned. Stir in the brown sugar.
  • Allow to cool. Fill 6 sundae glasses with alternate layers of apples and crumbs, ending with crumbs.
  • Whip the cream and milk until softly stiff. Pile on top of each portion, then add 1 teaspoon of jam to each.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 grams castor sugar
  • 100 grams butter    
  • 750 grams cooking apples, peeled and sliced
  • 3 tablespoons boiling water
  • 100 grams fresh white bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons light soft brown sugar
  • 150 ml double cream
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 75 grams red jam
