- Put the butter or margarine, milk, cocoa and vanilla essence in a bowl. Cook, uncovered, on Defrost for 6 minutes or until hot and the fat has melted.
- Beat in the sifted icing sugar until the frosting is smooth and quite thick. Use straight away.

- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 300 grams icing sugar, sifted
