MUTTON CURRY

In case you keep thinking about the type of recipe that you will need to prepare on your special occasion, then stop worrying now! Why not choose the Beef Curry which is usually offered by highly sophisticated restaurants.

Preparation Method :

  • Arrange the meat in a single layer a deep 25 cm / 10 in diameter dish. Cover with a plate and cook on Full for 15 minutes, stirring twice.
  • Meanwhile sauté the onions and garlic with oil in a skillet over a medium heat until golden.
  • Stir in the curry powder, tomato puree, flour, cardamom pods and garam masala, then gradually blend in the hot water.
  • Cook, stirring, until mixture comes to the boil and thickens. Remove the dish of meat from the microwave and stir in the contents the frying pan.
  • Cover with cling flim (plastic wrap) and slit it twice to all steam to escape.
  • Cook on Full for 10 minutes, turning the dish twice. Allow to stand for 5 minutes before serving.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 500 grams mutton, cut into small cubes
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 500 ml hot water
  • 1 tablespoon IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons hot curry powder
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons tomato puree  
  • 4 green cardamom pods
  • Salt to taste
