KEDGEREE WITH CURRY

To have this fish recipe you will need to have smoked fish, basmati rice, chopped parsley, mild curry powder and there are other needed ingredients here, for you to know how to cook this you may log on to the website given above.

Preparation Method :

  • Put the fish into a shallow dish with the cold water. Cover with clingfilm (plastic wrap) and slit it twice to allow steam to escape.
  • Cook for 5 minutes and drain. Flake up the flesh,remove the skin and bones.
  • Place the butter or margarine in a round 7 cups heatproof serving dish and melt on Defrost for 1 minutes.
  • Stir in the rice, curry powder and boiling water. Cover and cook again for 10 - 15 minutes.
  • Chop two of the eggs and stir into the dish with the fish, cream and parsley, seasoning to taste.
  • Cover and reheat for 5 minutes. Remove the dish from the microwave.
  • Garnish with the sliced egg and parsley sprigs.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400 grams smoked haddock or cod fillet
  • 4 tablespoons cold water
  • 50 grams butter or margarine
  • 200 grams basmati rice
  • 1 tablespoon mild curry powder
  • 600 ml boiling water
  • 3 hard-boiled (hard-cooked) eggs
  • 150 ml single (light) cream
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Parsley sprigs, to garnish
