CHICKEN WITH APPLES AND RAISINS

Start changing your appetite through cooking special dish and that is chicken with apples and raisins. This recipe is extremely unique, but you can instantly prepare this within a short period of time. With its perfect taste, you and your friend will surely crave for more bites.

20 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Put the butter or margarine in a 25 cm / 10 in diameter casserole dish. Melt, uncovered, on Defrost for 2 minutes. Add the chicken.
  • Cover with clingfilm (plastic wrap) and slit it twice. Cook on Full for about 10 minutes. Uncover and turn the chicken over.
  • Cover as before and cook on Full for a further 5 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with the onions, apples, raisins and garlic.
  • Blend the flour smoothly with some of the shandy, then mix in the remaining shandy. Crumble in the gravy cubes, add the thyme and season to taste.
  • Pour over the chicken. Cover as before and cook on Full for 10 minutes until the liquid bubbles and has thickened slightly.
  • Allow to stand for 5 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with the parsley.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg chicken joints
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 250 ml shandy
  • 2 beef stock cubes
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 4 Cox's apples, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons raisins
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
