CHICKEN IN CREAM SAUCE WITH CRISPS

The Chicken in Cream Sauce with Crisps is a recipe that offers you a delectable taste and aroma. This recipe is easy to prepare because it comes with five-step-instruction to follow. The recipe can serve for eight or more persons

Preparation Method :

  • Separate the broccoli into florets and arrange over the base of a lightly buttered deep dish.
  • In a separate dish, heat the butter or margarine for 45 seconds until it sizzles. Stir in the flour and gradually blend in the warm stock and cream.
  • Cook for 5 minutes until thickened, whisking every minute. Stir in the Red Leicester, wine, mustard and chicken. Add salt and nutmeg to taste.
  • Spoon the sauce over the broccoli. Sprinkle with coarsely crushed potato chips. Cover with clingfilm (plastic wrap) and slit it twice to allow steam to escape.
  • Reheat on Defrost for 10 minutes, serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 large head of broccoli, cooked
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 150 ml warm chicken stock
  • 150 ml single (light) cream
  • 50 grams Red Leicester cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons dry white wine
  • 1 teaspoon mild made mustard
  • 250 grams cooked chicken
  • Ground nutmeg
  • 1 small bag of potato chips, coarsely crushed
  • Salt to taste
