CHICKEN CACCIATORE

The chicken cacciatore is packed with perfect ingredients that truly match toy our food cravings. Its main ingredients like chicken piece, sugar, mushroom and other tasty seasonings made the dish more enticing. If you want to prepare this, all you have to do is to prepare its perfect ingredients.

Preparation Method :

  • Place the chicken in a 30 cm / 12 in diameter casserole dish (Dutch oven). Cover with clingfilm (plastic wrap) and slit it twice to allow steam to escape.
  • Cook on Full for 15 minutes, turning the dish twice. Meanwhile, make the sauce conventionally. Pour the oil into a saucepan and add the onion and garlic.
  • Sauté gently until lightly golden. Stir in the flour, then add the tomatoes, stock, puree and brown sauce.
  • Cook, stirring, until the sauce comes to the boil and thickens. Stir in all the remaining ingredients and pour over the chicken.
  • Cover as before and cook on Full for 20 minutes, turning the dish 3 times. Allow to stand for 5 minutes. Serve with creamed potatoes and a mixed salad.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 kgs chicken pieces
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 5 tomatoes, blanched, skinned and chopped
  • 150 ml hot stock
  • 3 tablespoons tomato puree (paste)
  • 1 tablespoon brown table sauce
  • 150 grams mushrooms, sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoons dark soft brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons marsala or medium-dry sherry
  • Creamed potatoes and mixed salad, to serve
