HAWAIIAN GAMMON AND PINEAPPLE CASSEROLE

If you already tried the Swedish and Italian recipes, then you have to try the Hawaiian Gammon and Pineapple Casserole. This recipe contains of healthy recipes which you can easily find in the surroundings. Preparing this recipe will help you to be practical.

Preparation Method :

  • Brush the oil over the base and sides of a deep 23 cm / 9 in diameter dish. Add the onion and garlic and cook, uncovered, on Full for 2 - 3 minutes.
  • Stir in the unsmoked and mild gammon cubes, cornflour, pineapple and juice, soy sauce and ginger. Season to taste with pepper.
  • Arrange in a round at the inside edge of the dish, leaving a small hollow in the centre.
  • Cover with clingfilm (plastic wrap) and slit it twice to allow steam to escape. Cook on Full for 15 minutes, turning the dish four times.
  • Allow to stand for 5 minutes, then stir before serving.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 kg unsmoked and mild gammon cubes
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour 
  • 350 grams canned crushed pineapple in natural juice
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Freshly ground black pepper
