VICTORIAN MILK PUNCH

6 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Pour the milk into a 9 cups bowl. Heat, uncovered on Full for 10 minutes or until hot.
  • Stir in the almonds, sugar and orange peel. Reheat, uncovered, on Full for 2 minutes. Beat the egg whites until stiff.
  • Stir the rum and whisky into the hot sweetened milk, then whisk in the beaten egg whites gently.
  • When the milk mixture is light and foamy, pour into handled cups and serve when fairly hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 litres milk
  • 2 tablespoons ground almonds
  • 100 grams castor sugar
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated orange peel
  • 2 egg whites
  • 5 tablespoons dark rum
  • 5 tablespoons whisky
