ITALIAN MEATBALLS

If you missed to experience the delectable Italian foods, then this is your chance to taste the Italian Meat Balls. This is one of the best Italian dishes which is now recognized the one of the most popular recipes through the world.

Preparation Method :

  • Pour the oil into a deep dish. Add in the onion and garlic. Cook, uncovered, on Full for 5 minutes.
  • Combine the meat with the breadcrumbs, egg and half the salt. Shape into 10  - 12 small balls.
  • Add to the dish and cook, uncovered, on Full for 5 minutes, turning the meatballs halfway through the cooking time.
  • Stand while mixing together the sieved tomatoes, sugar, oregano and remaining salt. Pour over the meatballs.
  • Cover with clingfilm (plastic wrap) and slit it twice to allow steam to escape. Cook on Full for 10 minutes, turning the dish 2 - 3 times. Allow to stand for 5 minutes before serving.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 1 onion, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 500 grams lean minced beef
  • 5 tablespoons fresh white breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt to taste
  • 400 grams sieved tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons dark soft brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil or oregano
