Cornish Splits is simply one of those foods you can try at home! It guarantees its complete ingredients like whole meal flour, yeast, margarine, lukewarm water, butter and salt! This food is meant to people who are passionate enough into eating breads!

Preparation Method :
- Sift the flour and salt into a bowl. Warm, uncovered, on Defrost for 1 minute. Add the yeast and rub in the fat.
- Mix to a dough with the water. Knead on a floured surface until smooth, elastic and no longer sticky. Return to the cleaned and dried but now lightly greased bowl.
- Cover the bowl with clingfilm and slit it to allow steam to escape. Warm on Defrost for 1 ½ minutes. Rest in the microwave for 6 minutes.
- Repeat 3 - 4 times until the dough has doubled in size. Quickly re-knead.
- Knead quickly and lightly after the first rising, then divide equally into 16 pieces. Shape into flattish rounds.
- Arrange eight baps round the edge of each of two greased and floured plates. Cover and cook, one plate at a time, on Defrost for 1½ minutes.
- Repeat 3 - 4 times or until the rolls have doubled in size. Cook, uncovered, on Full for 4 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
- Halve when cold and fill with thick cream or clotted cream and strawberry or raspberry jam.
- Dust the tops heavily with sifted icing sugar. Eat the same day.

- 2 tablespoons butter, margarine or lard
- 300 ml lukewarm water
