SLICED BEEF WITH GREEN PEPPERS
This dish is a bit spicy but delicious. The basic ingredients are fillet or rump steak, soy sauce, corn flour pinch of bicarbonate of soda, water, black pepper pinch, and oil. Make sure you blend the sauce perfectly to have a better result.

- Cut the beef into thin slices, then into strips a little longer than a match. Mix together 2 teaspoon soy sauce, the corn flour (cornstarch), soda, water and pepper and stir in the beef strips, mixing well.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of the oil in a wok or heavy-based frying pan and add the green peppers and salt.
- Stir-fry for about 2 minutes, until the peppers are tender but still crisp.
- Remove the peppers with a slotted spoon.
- Add the remaining 6 tablespoons of oil to the pan and fry the beef for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
- Return the peppers to the pan with the remaining soy sauce and 4 tablespoons of water. Stir for another minute.
- Serve with plain boiled rice.
