BEEF WITH COCONUT MILK

Preparation Method :
- Cook the cubed braising steak with spices and coconut milk, until the meat is tender and the sauce turns thick.
- Heat the oil in a large pan, add the onions and fry until they are just beginning to brown, then add the garlic, chillies and ginger fry for a minute or two.
- Add the beef and remaining spices. Stir well and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Cover the meat with coconut milk and little water. Adjust seasoning with salt.
- Simmer to low flame, cover and cook for about 20-30 minutes or until the meat is almost tender.
- Add the vinegar and continue cooking till the meat turns tender. Garnish with diced chillies and serve.

- 750 grams braising steak, cubed
- 250 ml coconut milk
- 150 ml vinegar
- 50 ml Cooking oil
- 2 onions, sliced
- 3-4 green chillies, chopped
- ½ inch piece fresh root ginger, chopped
- ½ teaspoon turmeric
- 2-3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 cinnamon stick, ground
- 2-3 cloves, ground
- 2 yellow or green chillies, diced, to garnish
- Chilli powder, salt to taste
