BEEF CAKES COOKED IN DRIPPING WITH CREAMED HORSERADISH

- Mash the warm potatoes with the butter, and blend it in the beef, onion and parsley.
- Season it well.
- Beat 1 egg and add it to the mixture.
- Shape the mixture into 12 large balls of equal size.
- Beat the other 2 eggs well with the milk and pour into a large saucer or flat dish.
- Put the breadcrumbs on a plate.
- Then coat each ball with the egg, roll through the breadcrumbs, and shape into cakes.
- Heat the dripping in a pan and fry the beef cakes until golden brown.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams boiled potatoes, warm
- 50 grams butter, softened
- 450 grams cooked silverside of beef, finely minced
- 100 grams finely chopped onion
- 5 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
- 3 eggs
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 175 grams of freshly toasted white breadcrumbs
- 100 grams beef dripping
