BEEF AND YOGURT WITH TOMATOES

Preparation Method :
- Marinate the steak with ginger, garlic, cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, chilli, seeds, garam masala and yogurt for several hours.
- Heat the oil in large saucepan; cook onions, stirring for about 3-5 minutes or until onions are soft. Stir in the marinated steak with the mixture, cook until the steak is well browned.
- Stir in the water, simmer to low flame and cook for about an hour or until steak is tender. Stir in the tomato, juice and coriander over medium heat for about 2 minutes.

- 900 grams chuck steak, cubed
- 250 grams plain yogurt
- 100 ml peanut oil
- 400 ml water
- 1½ teaspoon finely chopped fresh ginger
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 220 grams brown onions, sliced
- 3 cardamom pods, bruised
- 1½ teaspoon chilli powder
- 150 grams tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- Salt, to taste
- 50 grams chopped fresh coriander
