CREOLE FRANKFURTERS

Preparation Method :

  • To Make Sauce: Melt the butter in a large heavy frying pan, over a medium heat, add onion, garlic, green pepper and celery and cook for about 5 - 10 minutes or until tender.
  • Stir tomatoes, Tabasco sauce, brown sugar and salt to taste into mixture and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Add frankfurters and gently simmer at least for 15 minutes or until frankfurts are plump and piping hot and sauce thickened.

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 Continental meaty frankfurters
  • Creole Sauce
  • 450 grams canned tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 small green pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • Salt
