TAMALE PIES
One of the most delicious and sweet kind of pie is Tamale Pie it’s not that expensive in fact most of the ingredients used to create this recipe is usual and cheap. There are many procedures to cook this dish many toppings and style.

Preparation Method :
- Place the cooked steak and mushroom mixture in a small pie dish and leave to cool if necessary.
- Roll out the pastry (dough) to an oval shape larger than the pie dish. With a sharp knife cut out a pastry lid.
- Brush edge of pie dish with water, then cut strips of pastry the same width as rim and arrange on rim.
- Brush with water, then place pastry lid on top. Knock up and crimp edges, decorate with leaves or tassels made from trimmings.
- Brush top of pie, not edges, with beaten egg. Cook in a preheated hot oven (220°C/425°F, Gas Mark 7) for 25-30 minutes until well risen and golden.

- 500 grams packet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 2 small egg, beaten
