Preparation Method :
- Pie Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onion and carrots and saute until softened, 5minutes.
- Add the beef and sauté browned, about 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes, beef stock, bay leaf, thyme, and pepper. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Topping Cook the potatoes in salted boiling water until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and mash with the butter and milk. Stir in the horseradish.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C/gas 5). Spoon the meat into an ovenproof dish. Top with the mash and bake for 30 minutes, until golden brown. Serve hot.

- 2 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 large onion, thinly sliced
- 4 carrots, cubed
- 750 grams ground (minced) beef
- 500 grams tomatoes, with juice
- 600 ml beef stock
- 2 bay leaf
- 2 tablespoon fresh thyme
- Freshly ground black pepper
Topping
- 1.5 kg potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 100 grams butter
- 100 ml milk
- 4 teaspoons creamed horseradish
