BEEF & LEEK PASTIES
Beef and leek pasties – perfect dish for the whole family! It is combined with boiled potatoes, short crust pastry, fresh parsley and redcurrant jelly. Preparing this menu is extremely simple and it truly fits to all members because of its prefect taste and healthy contents.

Preparation Method :
- Put the meat in a frying pan with butter, leeks and parsley. Cover and cook for 30 minutes, stir it every 5 minutes.
- Add the jelly and potatoes, season it well and allow to cool.
- Roll out the pastry to 0.5cm in thickness and cut out 6-8 x 15cm rounds.
- Place the meat mixture in the centre of each round, dampen the edges of each round and fold over to make a half-moon shape, pinching and crimping the edges.
- Glaze with the beaten egg, and put the pasties on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake at Gas Mark 4/180°C/350°F for 30 minutes.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams sirloin of beef, roughly chopped
- 50 grams butter
- 4 leeks, washed and finely chopped
- 2 sprigs of fresh parsley
- 3 tablespoons redcurrant jelly
- 250 grams potatoes, peeled, boiled and diced
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 450 grams Shortcrust Pastry
- 1 egg, beaten with a little milk
