MUTTON LIVER MASALA

Preparation Method :

  • Marinate the liver with salt and lemon juice for 30 minutes. 
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and saute the onion and tomatoes.
  • Cool it to room temperature and  make a smooth paste in a blender or mixer.
  • Heat the remaining oil in the pan ,add the cardamom, cinnamon,bay leaf and whole red chillie and saute till the flavour pops out.
  • Add the tomato- onion paste and cook till the oil oozes out.
  • Add the finely chopped  onion and ginger garlic paste. Cook for 2 minutes .
  • Add the liver and cook for another two minutes.
  • Then add the turmeric powder,red chilli powder,jeera powder ,saunf powder and salt.
  • Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
  • Sprinkle garam masala and serve hot with roti or paratha.

  • 500 grams mutton liver
  • 1 big sized onion, cut into eight pieces
  • 2 red tomatoes, cut into eight pieces
  • 2 cardamoms
  • 2 pieces of cinnamon
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 dry red chillie
  • 1 big sized onion,finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons ginger - garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons jeera (dhaniya )powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon redchilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon saunf powder
  • 3 tablespoons mustard oil
  • Salt to taste
