LAMB KEBABS WITH CURRIED ONIONS

Preparation Method :
- Combine lamb with the onion mixture and yogurt in medium bowl, cover and refrigerate for several hours.
- Thread lamb onto skewers. Grill for about 3-5 minutes or until golden brown and tender. Serve with curried onions and rice.
- Curried Onions Heat ghee in saucepan; cook onions, stirring for about 3-5 minutes or until onions are soft.
- Stir in all the remaining ingredients with water for about a minute or until mixture boils and thickens slightly.
INGREDIENTS
- 1.2 kg leg of lamb, boned, remove excess fat; cut into cubes
- 220 grams plain yogurt
Ground to Paste
- 145 grams brown onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon black poppy seeds
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
- Salt, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
Curried Onions
- 245 grams brown onions, chopped
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
- 2 tablespoon ghee
- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
