Preparation Method :
- Heat oil in a large saucepan; when hot add the onions, stir, over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes or until onions are soft.
- Stir in the garam masala with saffron, turmeric, ginger and chilli; cook further one more minute.
- Stir in steak, cook over high heat, until steak is well browned all over.
- Stir in milk, honey and stock, bring to a boil.
- Simmer to low flame, cook, covered for about 20-30 minutes or until steak is tender, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in cream and almonds, cook until mixture is heated through.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 kg rump steak, cut into strips.
- 220 grams brown onions, sliced
- 150 ml chicken stock
- 150 ml cream
- 75 ml milk
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1½ teaspoons garam masala
- ½ teaspoon saffron powder
- ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
- 50 ml peanut oil
- 2 teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon chilli powder
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons ground almonds
