BEEF CURRY WITH POTATOES

Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a large pan, add the onions and fry until lightly browned.
- Add the garlic, chilli powder, cumin, ground coriander with ginger and cook for about 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add little water if the mixture becomes dry.
- Add the cubes of beef and cook, stirring, until browned all over. Stir in the tomato puree with enough water to cover the meat.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and bring to the boil.
- Simmer to low flame, cook, covered for about 45-50 minutes or until the meat is almost tender.
- Add the potatoes and whole chillies and cook until the potatoes are cooked.

- 800 grams stewing steak, cubed
- 350 grams small new potatoes
- 20 grams ground coriander
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 50 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 inch piece fresh root ginger, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 tablespoons tomato puree
- 4 green chilies
- Chili powder and Salt, to taste
