Preparation Method :
- Heat the oil in a heavy-based frying pan or wok, add the onion and fry until soft.
- Add the ground coriander, turmeric, ginger, garlic and chilli, stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes. Add little water if the mixture becomes dry.
- Add the steak and stir-fry until browned all over. Add the chopped pepper, then cover and cook over a low heat for 10-12 minutes or until the meat is tender.
- Add the tomatoes, lemon juice and salt to taste and cook, uncovered, for 3-5 minutes. Serve hot, garnished with fresh coriander.

- 500 grams frying steak, cut into thick strips
- 1 green or red pepper, cored, deseeded and roughly chopped
- 2 tomatoes, quartered
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 50 ml Cooking oil
- 1 inch piece fresh root ginger, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- ½ teaspoon turmeric
- 1-2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 red chilli, chopped
- 1 yellow chilli, chopped
- 50 ml lemon juice
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, to garnish
