HUTSPOT MET KLAPSTUCK (HOTCHPOTCH)

The hutspot met klaspstuck (hotchpotch) is made up of fine ingredients like seasoned flour, butter, chicken meat and liver, Bramley apples, chuck steak, and other seasonings. With its wine, every piece is tendered with special flavorings. You can never resist its bite and truly satisfies your cravings.

2 hours 20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Dredge the meats in the seasoned flour.
  • Heat the butter and oil in a large flameproof casserole, and place the meat in the hot fat, cooking until browned.
  • Add the beef stock and wine, and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Add all the other ingredients and simmer for 2 hours.
  • The dish is ready when the stock and wine have completely evaporated.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning, and serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams lean minced steak
  • 450 grams rough chuck steak, diced
  • 450 grams chicken meat and livers, diced
  • Seasoned flour
  • 25-30 grams of butter
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 550 ml Basic Beef Stock
  • 250 ml white wine
  • 450 grams carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 450 grams potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 225 grams unripe Bramley apples, diced
  • 1 peeled and sliced large onion
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
