BEEF BOURGUIGNONNE
This beef bourguignonne is loaded with yummy ingredients like chuck steak, good-quality wine, bouquet garni and other seasonings. With its extreme taste, every piece of beef appears is extremely irresistible and you can have it as your daily meal including lunch or dinner.

Preparation Method :
- Heat the sunflower oil in a flameproof casserole and quickly fry the steak, browning it all over.
- Using a slotted spoon, remove the meat and set on to one side.
- Add the mushrooms, bacon, shallots and garlic to the oil in the casserole and cook for 5 minutes.
- Return the beef, sprinkle with flour, and cook it for further 2 minutes.
- Meanwhile, preheat the oven to Gas Mark 2/l50°C/300°F.
- Add wine and beef stock and stir until boiling.
- Add the bouquet garni and season it well with salt and pepper.
- Cover and place it in the centre of the oven for 3 hours. Remove the bouquet garni and serve.
INGREDIENTS
- 4 tablespoons Cooking oil
- 1 kg chuck steak, cut into 2.5cm cubes
- 250 grams baby button mushrooms, wiped
- 100 grams rind less smoked bacon, diced
- 250 grams shallots, peeled
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
- 1 tablespoon plain flour
- 250 ml good-quality red wine
- 275 ml Basic Beef Stock
- 1 bouquet garni (1 bay leaf, a sprig of thyme, celery, parsley and sage tied with string)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
