GRILLED ARTICHOKES
The grilled artichokes are extremely best dish for the entire family. It deeply consists of appetizing ingredients that match to your lunch and dinner. This unique dish can be prepared for only one hour and its ingredients are really accessible and easy to cook.

Preparation Method :
- Trim off the thorny tips of the outer leaves with small scissors. (To prepare the artichokes).
- Rub the cut parts of the artichokes with lemon to prevent discoloration.
- Slice the stem off to form a flat bottom.
- Set the artichokes in a steamer basket , stem side down, within a pan containing at least 3 inches of boiling water for about 30 minutes.
- Cool slightly and when cool enough to handle, gently cut the artichokes in half lengthwise.
- Assemble the artichokes on a platter or cutting board ,cut side up. Brush the cut sides with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat a grill pan over medium heat until very hot. Place the artichokes in the pan cut side down and cook for 10 -12 minutes.
- Brush the tops of the artichokes with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Turn and cook for further 5 minutes.
- Turn again and cook cut side down for 1-2 minutes, just to heat through.
- Transfer the artichokes to a warm plate and serve.

- 2 medium artichokes
- 1 medium lemon, halved
- 50 ml / ¼ cup light olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
