CHICKEN SKEWERS

With Chicken Skewers, you would definitely love it serving this dish to your family! No wonder you’ll not find it hard preparing it. It may only take 45 minutes to prepare it. It has it’s lavishly and tempting ingredients you must include; chicken breasts, lemon juice and olive oil. Enjoy eating this food not only on special occasions.

45 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • To make the sauce, mix all the ingredients together in a serving bowl.
  • Soak 16 wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent them burning.
  • Cut each chicken breast lengthways into 4 strips and thread each strip onto a skewer.
  • Mix the oil and lemon juice together in a small bowl, then brush over the chicken.
  • Preheat a griddle pan or grill to medium-high. Cook the chicken skewers, in batches, for 3 minutes on each side, or until golden and cooked through, making sure that there is no trace of pink inside.
  • Keep the cooked chicken skewers warm while cooking the remaining skewers.
  • Serve the skewers with the sauce.

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tablespoon lemon juice

Satay Sauce

  • 200 grams smooth no-sugar peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoon hot water
  • 3 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoon fresh apple juice
  • 6 tablespoon coconut milk
