POPPY SEED BREAD

Preparation Method :

  • To begin with, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and glaze it with the butter paste.
  • Now squeeze three large lemons to obtain lemon juice.
  • Combine the sugar and lemon juice and smash the two together.
  • Add the eggs and the salt and whisk together until the entire mixture is smoothly blended.
  • Now combine the flour and baking powder in a sifter.  Sift in ⅓ of that mixture into the frothy egg mixture and finally add the poppy seeds.
  • Let it bake at 350 degrees F in the oven for around 50 minutes. When the top looks light to medium brown in colour, you know it's ready.
  • Once you take it out of the oven and cool it for some 10 minutes, it is good to eat.

  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 3 large lemons
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 300 grams cake flour, loosely packed
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 6 tablespoon salted butter, melted & cooled to room temperature
