- Fill the pot with dried fish stock; add in all the ingredients except the dried bonito fish.
- Boil over medium heat for approximately 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat, then add the dried fish and simmer for an additional 5 minutes until aromatic. Remove and drain through a thin white cloth.
- Add the bottled dip prepared in the previous step.

- 500 grams diced onions
- 200 grams carrots with skin, grilled and thinly sliced
- 50 grams dried bonito fish
- 100 grams brown sugar
- 100 grams shoyu sauce
- 500 grams dried fish stock
- 5 tablespoons sake
