CHESTNUT WHIP

Deciding to be healthy is extremely possible if you know the different healthy recipes. With chestnut whip, you will certainly enjoy the best food serving you desired to have. This will automatically change your daily appetite because of its alluring ingredients and seasonings.

Preparation Method :

  • Put the chestnuts in a pan and cover with the water.
  • Bring to the boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Drain and leave until cool enough to handle.
  • Peel off the skins with a sharp knife, then return the chestnuts to the pan and add the milk and vanilla essence.
  • Cover and cook gently for about 15 minutes until the chestnuts are soft and have absorbed the milk, stirring occasionally.
  • Rub through a sieve to give a thick, dry puree, and then stir in the orange rind and juice, rum and sugar.
  • Beat the egg whites until just stiff, and then fold into the chestnut mixture.
  • Spoon into a serving bowl or 6 individual dishes or glasses.
  • Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams chestnuts
  • 1 liter water 
  • 300 ml skimmed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence 
  • Finely grated rind and juice of 2 small orange 
  • 4 tablespoons rum
  • 200 grams soft brown sugar
  • 4 egg whites
  • Orange twists, to decorate
