- Preheat the oven to 190°C / 375°F / Gas Mark 5.
- Place the cherries in an ovenproof dish, sprinkle over the sugar and water, bake for 10-12 minutes or until it begins to soften.
- Mix all the ingredients for the topping. Sprinkle this mixture over the cherries and return to the oven, bake for another 10 minutes or until crisp and golden.
INGREDIENTS
- 250 grams fresh or canned cherries, stoned
- 50 grams rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon caster sugar
- 3 tablespoon demerara sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 3 tablespoon flaked almonds
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon runny honey
