BAKED GRAPEFRUIT SOUFFLE

The baked grapefruit soufflé can complete solve your food cravings. With its large grapefruit, margarine, white flour, fructose and other flavorings, this heath recipe is the best recommended foods by doctors. With its perfect taste, you will certainly ask for more servings.

Preparation Method :

  • Put the grapefruit rind and margarine in a pan and heat gently until the margarine has melted.
  • Stir in the flour, then the grapefruit juice. Bring to the boil, stirring constantly to give a thick smooth sauce.
  • Add the grapefruit segments and simmer for 1 minute. Stir in the fructose, and then remove from the heat and leave to cool slightly.
  • Beat the egg yolks into the grapefruit sauce. Beat the egg whites until stiff, and then fold gently into the grapefruit mixture.
  • Pour at once into a lightly greased souffle dish.
  • Bake in a preheated moderate oven for 45 minutes until the souffle is well risen, set and a light golden brown.

INGREDIENTS

  • Finely grated rind of 4 large grapefruit
  • 50 grams margarine
  • 50 grams plain unbleached white flour
  • Juice of 2 large grapefruit 
  • 2 grapefruit, peel and pith removed and divided into segments 
  • 50 grams fructose
  • 8 egg yolks
  • 10 egg whites
