Preparation Method :
- Cut the sponge cake into three round slices, by cutting along the circumference.
- Set the jelly in the serving bowl.
- To make custard keep some milk aside. Add the sugar and custard powder to it. Boil theremaining milk.
- Then lower the flame and add the custard mix and stir continuously on gentle flame for a few minutes till the mixture is thick. Add the essence and colour. Keep to cool.
- Make it more liquidy then normal custard because it has to flow easily.
- After the jelly has been set remove the bowl from the refrigerator.
- Place one slice of cake over the jelly layer.
- Sprinkle little Mango juice. Place the chopped fruit pieces, pour some custard liquid over this.
- Then place another slice of cake.
- Pour little Mango juice. Place the chopped fruit pieces, pour some custard liquid over again.
- Repeat this once again starting from the cake slice to the custard.
- Then take some sweetened cream and spread it all over, decorate with the cherries.
- Then refrigerate it and serve it cold.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 sponge cake
- 100 grams packet jelly
- 75 grams chopped fruit pieces
- 75 ml mango juice
- Cherries
For the custard
- 75 grams custard powder
- 1 teaspoon mixed fruit essence
- 750 ml milk
- 150 grams sugar
- A few drops of colour
