HERB SUET PASTRY

Makes :
450 grams

Preparation Time :
45 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Place the sifted flour, coriander, butter and suet in a bowl season it with little salt and pepper.
  • Rub together with your fingertips until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
  • Mix the egg with 1 tablespoon water and add to the flour mixture until a soft paste forms.
  • Turn the mixture out onto a floured work surface and knead it into a soft but fairly firm dough.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams self-raising flour, sifted
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander
  • 75 grams butter, softened
  • 50 grams freshly shredded beef suet
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 beaten egg
  • Extra flour
