BIRCHER MUESLI

Preparation Method :

  • The night before serving, mix the oats, wheat germ and milk together in a bowl, cover with clingfilm and chill overnight.
  • To serve, stir the oat mixture, add the honey, if using, yogurt and apple, and mix well.
  • Spoon into serving bowls, top with the nuts and berries and drizzle over a little more honey, or fruit puree, if using.

INGREDIENTS

  • 150 grams roiled oats
  • 1 tablespoon wheat germ
  • 100 ml full-fat milk or soya milk
  • 1 tablespoon clear honey, plus extra for serving (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon natural yogurt
  • 1 apple, peeled, cored and grated
  • 100 grams chopped nuts, such as macadamia nuts, cashew nuts or hazelnuts
  • Fruit purge, to serve (optional)
  • Mixed berries, such as blueberries, raspberries and strawberries
