BAKED BONBONS

Preparation Method :

  • Knead the marzipan with the icing sugar and make ball shapes out of the mixture.
  • Roll out the dough thinly on a worktop sprinkled with flour. Cut 15 x 14 cm rectangles out of the dough.
  • Put a marzipan ball onto each piece of dough and roll it up carefully like a bonbon. Twist both ends of the marzipan balls.
  • Spread honey over the "bonbons", put them onto a greased baking tray and bake in the oven at 190 °C / 380 °F / Gas mark 5 for about 12-15 minutes.
  • Allow them cool down and then wrap the ends with coloured ribbons.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams raw marzipan
  • 50 grams icing sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • Butter for greasing

Dough - warp in plastic foil and allow it to stand for half an hour

  • 250 grams flour
  • 100 grams butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt, to taste
