ORANGE DELIGHT

Preparation Method :

  • Soak the Gelatine in half a cup water. Boil the sugar and a cup water till it becomes one thread consistency and add the soaked gelatine. Take off when the gelatine melts and cool.
  • Add the orange essence and strain. Pour it into a dish and set in the refrigerator.
  • Melt the china grass in the remaining water. Blend the condensed milk, milk and sugar in a pan.
  • Keep both the pans on fire. Stir the milk mixture continuously.
  • Switch off the heat, when it just begins to boil.
  • Mix the melted china grass into the milk mixture. Stir till well blended, strain and cool.
  • When cool add the lime juice and grated rind of oranges into the mixture.
  • Pour it over the prepared set orange jelly and return to the fridge. When fully set serve both layers together, garnish with orange segments.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 teaspoon Gelatine
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 300 ml orange essence
  • 10 grams china grass, cut into small pieces and soaked for about an hour
  • 1 litre water
  • 400 grams condensed milk
  • 750 ml milk
  • 50 grams sugar
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Grated rind of 2 oranges
  • Orange segments, to garnish
