PRUNE AND ORANGE RING
Prune and Orange Ring is a toothsome dish which is proven healthy because of its ingredients! Prunes, large oranges, powdered gelatin and lemon are among those ingredients that makes it more appealing not only on one’s sight but as well as with the taste! Have it be prepared for almost twelve hours, while cooking would last for twenty minutes!

Preparation Method :
- Put the prunes and orange rind in a bowl. Make the orange juice with water, and then pour over the prunes. Leave to soak overnight.
- Alternatively, pour over boiling juice and water and soak for a few hours.
- Transfer to a pan and bring to the boil. Lower the heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes until the prunes are tender, then drain, reserving the cooking juice.
- Measure the juice and make up with water. Remove the stones from the prunes. Put the prune flesh and juice in a blender and work to a smooth puree.
- Sprinkle the gelatine over the lemon juice in a small cup and leave until spongy.
- Stand the cup in a pan of hot water and stir until the gelatine has dissolved. Stir into the prune puree.
- Beat the egg whites until just stiff, and then fold into the mixture. Pour into a ring mould or serving bowl and chill in the refrigerator until set.
- To serve, dip the mould in hot water for a few seconds, then invert on to a serving plate.
- Fill the centre of the ring with the orange slices.

- Finely grated rind of 2 orange
- Juice of 4 large oranges
- 30 grams powdered gelatin
- Juice of 2 lemon
- 4 egg whites
- 4 oranges, peel and pith removed and sliced, to serve
