- Arrange fruits in one layer in a shallow flameproof dish (about 18 cm / 7 inch by 13 cm / 5 inch).
- Cover with the cream, and then sprinkle over sugar to cover cream completely.
- Place under a preheated hot grill (broiler) and cook until sugar caramelizes - watch carefully to prevent the sugar from burning.
- Cool, then refrigerate for 4 hours before serving.

- 200 gram strawberries, hulled
- 200 gram seedless black grapes
- 300 ml soured cream
- 10 tablespoons demerara sugar
