CRUNCHY FRUIT COMPOTE
The crunchy fruit compote is loaded with perfect ingredients such as mixed dried fruit, honey, lemon, margarine, Demerara sugar and other flavorings. This health recipe is extremely best not only for health conscious but those who are searching for delectable foods.
Preparation Method :
- Place the dried fruits in a bowl with enough water to cover and leave to soak overnight.
- The next day, drain the fruit well, and then place in a saucepan with the water, the honey and lemon juice.
- Bring to the boil, cover and cook gently until the fruits are tender, about 20 minutes.
- Transfer to an ovenproof dish. Melt the margarine in a small saucepan and stir in the sugar and muesli.
- Sprinkle this mixture over the fruit and place under a preheated hot grill until golden.
- Serve warm with plain yogurt.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams mixed dried fruit
- 300 ml water
- 2 tablespoon honey
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 100 grams margarine
- 4 tablespoons Demerara sugar
- 150 grams muesli
- Low-fat plain yogurt, to serve
