BLACK CHERRY FLAN

Preparation Method :

  • Place the flan case on a large serving plate.
  • Mix the sugar, rum and water in a heavy-based saucepan. Place over a low heat and bring to the boil, stirring constantly.
  • Boil vigorously, without stirring, for about 2 minutes. Pour the syrup into the flan case.
  • In a bowl, beat the cheese, honey with cinnamon and cream, then spread the mixture in the flan case.
  • Arrange the cherries over the cheese mixture. Glaze with the warmed cherry jam.

INGREDIENTS

  • 550 grams black cherries, pitted
  • 250 grams low-fat soft cheese
  • 50 grams black cherry jam, warmed
  • 1 large ready-made sponge flan case
  • 1 tablespoon single cream
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 50 ml water
  • 2 tablespoons clear honey
  • 50 ml light rum
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
