STUFFED CARAMELISED BANANAS

Preparation Time :

Cooking Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • To make the filling, mix the jaggery with water, then add the grated coconut and cardamom powder and keep aside.
  • Partially slit open each banana in the centre and stuff them with the grated coconut mix.
  • Heat the ghee in a frying pan and add the sugar. Heat the mixture until the sugar is caramelised.
  • Fry the bananas in the sugar and ghee, for about 2 minutes on each side, turning them now and then so that they attain a light golden colour.
  • Serve hot with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of honey.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 Ripe yellow bananas
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 3 tablespoon Sugar
  • Vanilla ice cream to serve
  • Honey to serve

The Filling

  • 300 grams Jaggery, grated
  • 2 Coconuts, grated
  • ½ teaspoon Cardamom powder
