DATE AND APPLE PANCAKES
These date and apple pancakes are extremely best for all. This special recipe can be served not only for regular meals and snacks but for all special events as well. The best thing about this healthy recipe is its affordable and tasty ingredients.

Preparation Method :
- Brush a small non-stick frying pan with a little oil. Pour in a little batter and tilt the pan to coat it evenly.
- Cook until the underside is brown, then turn over and cook for 10 seconds.
- Transfer to a plate and keep warm. Continue cooking pancakes in this way until all the batter is used up.
- To make the filling, melt the margarine in a pan and add the apples, sugar, mixed spice and dates.
- Cook gently, stirring frequently, for 10 to 15 minutes until the apples are tender.
- Place a little of the filling on each pancake, roll up and arrange in an ovenproof dish. Warm the honey and spoon over the pancakes to glaze.
- Bake in a preheated moderate oven for 15 to 20 minutes until heated through.
- Sprinkle with the almonds before serving.
INGREDIENTS
- Whole meal pancake batter made with 200 grams whole meal flour
Filling
- 50 grams margarine
- 750 grams dessert apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 50 grams Muscovado sugar
- 150 grams dates stoned and chopped
To finish
- 4 tablespoons clear honey
- 50 grams flaked almonds, roasted
