- Remove the cores from the apples and make a cut around the middle of each apple. Place in a shallow ovenproof dish greased with half the butter.
- Blend together the curd cheese, sultanas (raisins), half the sugar and the cinnamon.
- Fill the centers of the apples with the cheese mixture. Press the rest on top and sprinkle with the remaining sugar.
- Cook the apples in a preheated moderate oven (180°C / 350°F, Gas Mark 4) for 1 hour.
- Serve warm with pouring cream or ice cream.

- 4 Granny Smith apples
- 100 gram butter
- 100 gram curd cheese
- 50 gram sultanas
- 50 gram brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
