APPLE & BLUEBERRY WITH OATY COBBLER TOPPING

30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Preheat the oven. Put the fruit, cinnamon and sugar into a small saucepan with water.
  • Heat gently and cook for a few minutes until the fruit begins to soften. Remove from the heat.
  • Divide the fruit between two individual ovenproof dishes.
  • Put the flour, baking powder, sugar and butter into a small bowl and rub in until the mixture resembles fresh breadcrumbs.
  • Mix in the soured cream. Put the rolled oats on a saucer, then drop teaspoonfuls of the mixture on top and roll in the oats.
  • Flatten the pieces slightly and arrange on top of the fruit.
  • Put the dishes on a baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.

INGREDIENTS

  • 300 grams mixed dessert apple and blueberries
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoon caster sugar

Cobbler Topping 

  • 100 grams plain flour 
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 teaspoon caster sugar
  • 50 grams unsalted butter
  • 100 ml soured cream 
  • 2 tablespoon rolled oats
