GOOSEBERRY AND ALMOND CRUMBLE

The gooseberry and almond crumble completes your daily snacks. It is loaded with gooseberries, fructose and oranges. Its topping also consists of rolled oats, margarine, brown sugar and blanched almonds. With its combined ingredients, you will have no doubt why it became more mouth-watering and tempting.

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Put the gooseberries in a pie dish. Sprinkle over the fructose, and then pour over the orange juice, reserving the rind for the crumble.
  • To make the crumble, put the flour or oats in a bowl, and then rub in the margarine.
  • Stir in the brown sugar, almonds and reserved orange rind, then spoon on top of the gooseberries to cover them completely.
  • Bake in a preheated moderately hot oven for 30 minutes until the crumble is crisp and browned on top.
  • Serve hot with plain yogurt.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams gooseberries, topped and tailed 
  • 2 tablespoon fructose
  • Finely grated rind and juice of 2 orange 

Crumble

  • 200 grams plain whole meal flour or rolled oats
  • 100 grams margarine
  • 100 grams light soft brown sugar
  • 100 grams blanched almonds, flaked or chopped
